How Orbit handles data in the current beta.

Orbit operates two product surfaces, Vesta and Vesta Business, on one shared cloud platform. This page explains in plain language how identity, messaging data, Haven submissions, AI requests, and beta support information are handled today.

1. Account and profile data

Orbit uses Firebase Authentication and related profile storage to support sign-in, onboarding, profile setup, and app access. Personal and business product surfaces may present different user experiences, but they are built on shared account infrastructure.

2. Messaging and business collaboration data

Chats, groups, shared tasks, Haven items, workflow submissions, and related metadata are stored in Firebase Firestore with access checks based on membership, role, and workspace context. We do not state that all beta behaviors are final, but the app already enforces real backend access controls.

3. AI processing

@Nex uses Gemini with dynamic prompts and context injection to help with summaries, drafting, task routing, and business assistance. Orbit routes these requests through controlled backend or product logic rather than claiming to train its own foundation model from user messages.

4. Beta limitations and product honesty

This is a live beta product. Some surfaces are still evolving, and native desktop installers are not yet available. Orbit intentionally avoids promising platform availability or enterprise features that are not already real in the current beta.

5. Your rights and requests
